Licence terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms cover the Santra app: the free trial, and the licence you buy after it.
The short version
- Try every part of Santra free for 7 days.
- Buy once, use it on 2 PCs, and keep it for good.
- You get every update released in the year after you buy.
- Your key is for you. Please don't share it.
- You have 14 days to change your mind.
Who makes Santra
Santra is made by Komil Parmar, an independent developer in India (“we” on this page). Orders are handled by Dodo Payments, our online reseller and Merchant of Record: Dodo is the seller of your purchase, takes the payment, handles sales tax and sends the invoice. Dodo's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
The free trial
You can use everything in Santra free for 7 days on each PC, counted from the first time it starts. After that, Santra asks for a licence key before it runs a tool. Your files, and the copies Santra already made, stay exactly as they are.
What a licence gives you
- One licence is for one person. You can use Santra on up to 2 PCs that you use, for personal or work files.
- To move Santra to another PC, open Settings → Licence → Move to another PC on the old one. If the old PC is gone, write to us and we'll free the slot.
- You get every update we release within one year of your purchase. After that year, the version you have keeps working for as long as you like, and you can buy another year of updates when we offer it.
- The licence itself never expires.
What you agree not to do
- Share, sell or publish your licence key, or let more people use it than the licence allows.
- Remove or get around the trial or the licence check, or pass on a copy of Santra that does.
- Decompile or reverse-engineer Santra, except where the law allows it or where the licence of one of its open-source parts does.
You're welcome to pass on the installer itself: anyone who installs it gets their own free trial.
Open-source parts
Santra includes open-source components, each under its own licence, listed on Open-source parts. Nothing in these terms limits what those licences let you do with those components.
Refunds
If Santra isn't right for you, you can have your money back within 14 days of buying, with no questions asked. The refund policy has the details. A refunded licence key stops working.
Your files
Santra works on your files on your own PC and never uploads them; the privacy policy says exactly what it does send, and when. Santra saves its results as new files and leaves the originals alone, but as with any software, keep backups of anything important.
No warranty
We work hard to make Santra reliable, but to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Some formats and features rely on parts of Windows or on other software, such as Microsoft Office, that we don't control.
Limits of our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for your licence. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement.
When a licence ends
Your licence ends if you seriously break these terms, or if your purchase is refunded or charged back. After that, you may not use Santra beyond the free trial.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases and versions. The terms in force when you bought your licence keep applying to it, unless you agree to new ones.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you buy as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
